Morgans Hollow Brand Design
Located in Monett, Missouri Morgans Hollow is a brand new local bookstore. When I head that a bookstore was opening up in my small town I couldn't have been more excited because I love books.
Growing up I just didn't like reading. Until one day, in 7th grade, my literature teacher handed me a book called "Enders Game". She told me to read it, and she would be surprised if I still didn't like reading.
Since then I try to read around 30 books a year. So when the news of this bookstore opening came to me, I reached out and asked if I could help with the branding. This was a dream project for me.
The owner let me know the history behind the name and mentioned that they wanted a butterfly as the main focus of the logo.
For the branding I decided to go with a rustic, timless looking type face and paired that with colors that called back to a simpler time in the past.
In the end I was able to deliver a brand identity for this bookstore that I was super proud of and that the owners loved.
